Wine Of The Month: DOMAINE DE L’ILE Côtes de Provence Rosé

This delicious French rosé is a well-rounded blend of five grapes grown in a vineyard located on the national park island of Pourquerolles, just off the coast of Provence.

A certified organic wine,

this Provence rosé is airy and vibrant, with notes of fruit on the nose and, on the tongue, a long, refreshing finish with touches of saline thanks to the vineyards ocean proximity.

Pair this rosé with shellfish, pork, or vegetarian dishes.

Sake Highlight

Sake is a traditional Japanese alcoholic beverage made with fermented rice that has been polished to remove the bran. Sake comes in different classifications depending on the level of rice polishing.

Higher grade sake, such as Junmai (meaning “pure rice”), uses only rice, water, koji and yeast, with no other additives.

While you may have seen sake served warm in a small shot glass, many modern sake producers suggest treating sake as you would a nice, white wine – paired with food and served chilled in a wine glass.
